■ 教育、研究、社会貢献活動の方針

1.

(1)教育活動の方針：学生には今後、ますます国際化が進む社会の中で、人種や障害等の有無に関する偏見を持たず、人間が理解できる、あるいはしようとする社会人となってもらうべく、教育を行っている。特に人間がどういう心を持っているのか、それは他の動物とはどう違うのかについて理解してもらうようにしている。 (2)研究活動の方針：ある現象が人間の行動や内面に見られたとして、それが「なぜ」起きるのか、メカニズムにまで踏み込んだ研究を行うことを心がけている。乳幼児のコミュニェーション能力の発達、さまざまな人間がロボットをどう認知するのかといった研究についても、「なぜ」年齢によって能力が発達したり、認知が変わるのかについて注目している。 (3)社会貢献活動の方針：人間とその他の動物、そして人以外の無生物（ロボットなど）と共生できる世の中とはどのようなものか、発達心理学の知見を通し、世の中に伝えることを目的としている。
