■ 教育、研究、社会貢献活動の方針
1. （１）教育活動の方針：構成主義 (e.g., Jonassen, 1991)の観点から、学習者の主体的・協同的な学びを助ける授業を重視している。常識の前提や、問いを自ら考えるためのプロンプト（クイズ方式の問い）や映像資料の活用、グループ討議、プレゼンテーションや授業内の課題（Webclass上のアウトプットの課題や字数を指定した考察のためのリフレクション・ペーパー）を織り交ぜることを心がけている。学生へのフィードバックでも、オンラインでの課題提出の利点を生かし、先回の学生コメントをPDFにまとめて匿名で共有するなど、協同的な学びを重視している。また、心理学の調査法について、質的・量的両面（文献レビュー、調査的面接法、観察法、質問紙調査法、実験法等含む）からのトレーニングを重視している。
2. （２）研究活動の方針：専門は多文化間カウンセリング心理学、文化心理学、異文化教育である。異文化接触における経験や資質について、心理学的観点から研究している。例えば、経験とは適応上のストレス（acculturative stress, culture shock）が挙げられ、資質とは性格傾向や認知的特徴が挙げられる。これらのことについて、臨床経験や事例研究に基づき、調査や実験などを行っている。また近年、比較文化的な視座からのサブカルチャー研究にも着手をしている。
3. （３）社会貢献活動の方針：専門が文化にかかわる心理学であるため、異文化接触上の課題や方略に関して、社会的アウトリーチを重視している。過去の実績として、特許系の企業への異文化間心理学のレクチャーや、異文化トレーニングの研修の担当実績があり、公益財団法人でも多文化ソーシャルワーカーや日本語教師の方々を対象にワークショップを担当したことがある。異文化間心理学の実証的な知見を実践者の方々と共有し、社会に還元していくことを重視している。
