概要	In this presentation, I discussed some insights gained from the process of translation involved in the production of a bilingual-format section in my publication, "Adaptation, Mediation and Communication of Otherness in a Globalizing World: Perspectives from Japan". In particular, I presented this translation activity as a form of "bilingual study", and suggested that it could be a way to develop intercultural competency.
