概要	We develop a micro-founded model of P2P rental markets with endogenous consumer roles, rental transactions, and platform pricing under monopoly and duopoly. Consumers flexibly choose their roles among lending, renting, and self-use, which constrains platform fees and deters standard "divide-and-conquer" pricing. This constraint weakens when product prices are higher or usage intensity is lower, enabling platforms to raise fees. Platform competition can further erode this flexibility, allowing them to set even higher fees. As a result, consumer surplus and social welfare can be lower under duopoly than under monopoly.
