| 概要 | Vertical and horizontal (two dimensional) index splitting schemes for complex objects are proposed and evaluated. These schemes are hybrid of multi-indexing and path-indexing techniques employing the hash-join based index traversing. We describe two kinds of a splitting scheme and the algorithms of the index operations. The cost model to evaluate the retrieval time of a single query and the average turnaround time of a range key query is established. The evaluations based on the cost model show that the average turnaround time can be decreased due to the two dimensional parallelism. |
