概要 In this paper, we used a random forest for the NBDC liver cancer dataset to extract non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) which are considered to be associated with liver cancer from a huge amount of ncRNAs. The explanatory variables for the random forest were the expression levels of ncRNAs, and the objective variable was non-tumor tissue or tumor tissue. The expression level calculation tool, kallisto, was used to extract the expression levels of ncRNAs. Since there are a huge number of ncRNAs, we used a statistical hypothesis test for their expression levels and used only ncRNAs that were significantly different between non-tumor tissues and tumor tissues as explanatory variables. As a result, we succeeded in extracting ten ncRNAs that are considered to be associated with liver cancer.
