概要 | Air-solid two-phase jets were studied for the case of comparatively large particles. Velocities of air and solid, solid concentration and air turbulence were measured by a Pitot tube, optical fiber probe and Laser Doppler Velocimeter. These measurements were compared with results of a numerical simulation of Lagrangian type. In the simulation, particle trajectories were calculated not only in the jet but also in the pipe leading to the nozzle. The simulation showed that particle diffusion in the jet is strongly affected by the jet is strongly affected by the directions of particle motion at the nozzle exit. In order to enable the simulation to explain the experimental results, irregular or abnormal bouncing should be taken into account in the pipe. Effects of particles on the structure and devellopment of the jet are less remarkable in large particles than small particles under the same loading ration. © 1987, The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers.
