概要	A Lagrangian numerical simulation was performed for the two-dimensional gas fluidized bed. The motion of all the individual particles in the bed was calculated using the ``Discrete Element Method'' (1). The calculation of fluid motion was based on local mean variables which were calculated using the equation of continuity and the Euler's equation of motion. Also, the fluid-particle interaction was taken into account in the calculation of fluid motion. Furthermore, a experiment was made for comparison with the results of simulation. Both results show good agreement with respect to particles' behavior and pressure fluctuations caused by bubble generation.
