概要 | To evaluate the profile-modification mechanism, we simulated the melting and solidification process of tungsten, by using a constrained interpolation profile and combined unified procedure. We simulated molten tungsten as having a free surface driven by the Marangoni effect and assuming a given temperature gradient or heat flux as the local heating. We evaluated the relationships among the free surface behavior, the molten tungsten convection, and the molten-layer aspect ratio. The surface fluctuation occurred owing to the vortex generated by the molten-layer convection, and the influence of the aspect ratio was different for the two models. |
