概要 Mixed deuterium-nitrogen ion-driven permeation experiments through tungsten were performed as a function of temperature (600 < T < 1000 K). The influence of nitrogen resulted in a strong increase in the permeation flux at T < 900 K with decreasing temperature. An order of magnitude increase was observed at T = 650 K. A simple transport model was used to determine order of magnitude estimates of the nitrogen-induced changes to deuterium surface recombination coefficient and diffusivity.
