概要	【概要】 本研究の目的は、①参加型アート実践の事例分析、②質的インタビュー含む写真投影法を用いたアーツベイスドリサーチ（Arts-Based Research: ABR）、③量的なVR（バーチャル・リアリティ）実験、④質問紙調査、の各アプローチを通じ、人々の「繋がり意識」が形成されるコミュニケーション様式を重層的に検討することである。とりわけ、②のアーツベイストリサーチや④の質問紙調査に関しては、台湾やニュージーランドとの国際調査を実施することで、人々の集合意識やコミュニティ意識がいかに文化的土壌や環境・社会制度に根付いているかも検討する。また、アート実践や比較文化の視点に注目する理由は、AIなどの技術が社会でプラットフォーム化していく中で、アート実践が行われる「現場」や特定の文化圏でみられる固有の対人関係など、ともすると均質的になりうるデジタル社会の視点では見過ごしがちな「現場で生成されている姿」を重視するためである。 【Project title】 Investigating Communication that Fosters a Sense of Connectedness: Arts-Based Research, Virtual Spaces, and Cross-Cultural Studies 【Abstract】 The purpose of this study is to examine, through multiple complementary approaches, the forms of communication through which people develop a sense of connectedness. Specifically, the project integrates: (1) case analyses of participatory art practices; (2) arts-based research (ABR), including qualitative interviews using photo elicitation methods; (3) quantitative virtual reality (VR) experiments; and (4) questionnaire surveys. In particular, for approaches (2) and (4), international comparative studies will be conducted in Taiwan and New Zealand to explore how collective consciousness and community consciousness are rooted in cultural contexts, environmental conditions, and social institutions. The focus on art practice and cross-cultural perspectives is especially important in an era in which technologies such as AI are increasingly platformizing society. By attending to the “sites” in which artistic practices occur and to culturally specific interpersonal relations, this project seeks to foreground lived realities generated in situated contexts—dimensions that may be overlooked in homogenizing perspectives on digital society.
